Conquests

Sometimes i read a book and it takes me no time at all....like the first harry potter book...yes i admit that i have read almost all of the books, i mean anything that actually got my brother to read has got to be worth it right? anyways, as i was talking to my friend missy over break we were having a discussion about books and i was saying how i tried to read the count of monte cristo but i failed miserably and she said she is reading anna karenina and how it has been very difficult thus far....but the one thing that made me laugh is that she said every time she starts to read books like that, most of which don't get very interesting until the last 100 pages, she takes it as a personal attack from the book if she can't finish it, so as she reads and gets closer and closer to the end it's like a triumph, she even went on to say that she says...take that book...i'll show you....i'll read all the way to the end and you can't stop me!

anyways, i just that it was funny that my best friend was talking to a book...telling it how she would show it...making it her personal quest to finish it.
