The DD

So, I have completely and totally realized why so many people drive home drunk. I am not condoning the act in the least, I am just saying that now I realize why. The other night I went out with my friends and I was not supposed to drive home because well I didn't drive there, but in a turn of events I ended up being the sober member of our group and therefore got us all home safely. However, while we were out I realized why no one ever wants to be the DD. Not only was I sober, but some of my friends were wasted, others were mildly drinking, but nonetheless I was drinking coca cola. Throughout the night I held shoes for a friend who didn't want to wear hers anymore, trying to convince her to put them back on because the floor was disgusting and no one wants to get hepatitis C from a dirty bar floor, I witness the bouncer toss someone out and of course this was first hand as in the process of man-handling the obstinate drunk I was slightly man-handled myself, I looked after one friend who was chatting with a group of boys...all of whom claimed to work at ESPN, but none of whom seemed to ever have seen a sports game in their lives. Then the drive home was filled with comments from the gallery on how I should drive, I love how drunk people think they see cars more clearly than you....ahhhh...and did i forget to mention the stimulating conversations with people who are drunk? yes, now i know why people drive drunk...no one wants to be the sober one...cause lets face it...while drunk people are funny to drunk people....no one sober thinks puke is funny :)
