cake cake cake

I don't really like cake...but last year one of my friends made this cake that was absolutely delicious! So, my boyfriend and i have been talking about making it for like this whole year. Well, valentine's day is thurs so i thought...hex i'm going to make this cake! So, i print off the recipe and start reading it...and then i realize...this is no box cake...no wonder i actually liked it...here are just a few examples of things i was suppose to get or do....

dried currants...what the heck are those?
Lindt
melt chocolate in top of double boiler
Using vegetable peeler remove peel and mince

Now, i realize that these things aren't that difficult to do...but...when the recipe calls for 23 ingredients and then has 2 pages of directions...i figured...you know...that cake box is sounding better and better ;)
