i think i'm going to sign up for a marathon
yep...i'm going to do it this year
i found a 26 week training program online...and i'm just going to DO IT!
but i want someone to do it with me...i'm thinking either san fran or des moines
any takers??

I did the Des Moines Marathon a few years ago and I recommend a large city unless you have someone who will run with you the whole time. I am a slow runner, and a deer crossed my path at mile 24. :-/
In my opinion it's more fun to have a large crowd along the whole route and tons of people running or walking with you. Chicago has 35,000 runners and the route is never without spectators cheering you on! It's such a rush!
I am attempting to train for the Chicago marathon again this year! We'll see if my knees let me finish though.

Ah...good idea! ok...I'm thinking of the San Fran one...it would be fun...but i also think it's hilarious about the deer ;)
