i think he's right...well to an extent...but sometimes i find myself not buying something that is exactly what i want because maybe it's $20 more than i'd like to pay, but then i search and search and can never find anything that compares...so i either buy something less expensive but not as good and then i don't like it/don't use it...or i end up paying more because i didn't just get it when i saw it.

yes, he does say that! AND he also says, don't spend $10 at the store if you don't have $20 at home.
